Langer, Arthur R. "Gramps" Age 84

Omaha, passed away April 3, 2013, at his residence. Arthur was born in Minden, Iowa on September 19, 1928 to Walter and Margaret Lustgraaf Langer and was a 1946 graduate of St. Joseph High School in Neola, IA. Art served his country in the US Marine Corps and was united in marriage to Mary Ann Fischer on July 30, 1949, in Neola, IA. Art worked for over 42 years, as a Electrician for OPPD retiring in 1990 and also worked at Cedar Hills, Eagle Run and Stone Creek Golf Shops. He was an active member of St. Robert Bellarmine Church, and their choir, Millard American Legion Post 374, Knights of Columbus # 10108 and was very active in youth sports. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law Mary Margaret Langer; brother-in-law Larry Smith. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Mary Ann; children, Jeannie Marie (Chuck) Greco, Daniel Arthur (Terry) Langer all Omaha, Mary Beth (Dave) Dover, Leawood, KS, Julie Ann (Bill) Watsabaugh, Omaha; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; siblings, Helen Smith, Gene (Vivian) Langer, Jack Langer, Bea (Jim) Burns, Urban Langer all of Omaha; many special nieces and nephews. VISITATION with the family Sunday 2:30pm to 4:30pm, followed by MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL at 4:30pm all at St. Robert Bellarmine Church in Omaha. Reception will follow in the James T. Mainelli Parish Center. Private family interment Monday at Calvary Cemetery with military rites by Millard American Legion Post 374 and VFW #8334. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Mary Our Queen Church and the Servants of Mary Healing Garden.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Mary Ann; children, Jeannie Marie (Chuck) Greco, Daniel Arthur (Terry) Langer, all of Omaha, Mary Beth (Dave) Dover, of Leawood, Kan., Julie Ann (Bill) Watsabaugh, of Omaha; 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; siblings, Helen Smith, Gene (Vivian) Langer, Jack Langer, Bea (Jim) Burns Urban Langer, all of Omaha; many special nieces and nephews.
