Obituary:
William Allen Saltmarsh, the son of Charles A. and Pearl Christensen Saltmarsh, was born October 14, 1947 in Atlantic, Iowa and died June 9, 2012 at the Audubon County Memorial Hospital in Audubon, Iowa at the age of 64 years, 7 months, and 25 days. Bill attended Anita Community Schools graduating with the High School Class of 1965. He then enlisted in the Iowa National Guard. Bill owned and operated a plumbing business in Kimballton, Iowa for several years. He then was employed at various jobs which included working for Valley Motors, Henningsen Construction, and Challenge Feeds in Atlantic, Iowa. Bill also drove truck for several years. On November 22, 1974, he was united in marriage to Patricia Conklin Ballinger at the Baptist Church in Atlantic. One son, Christopher, was born to this union. Later Bill moved to McCall, Idaho where he was employed as an electrician and plumber until his health started to fail and then he moved back to Iowa. Bill will be remembered for his sense of humor and his love for the outdoors. He loved to fish and hunt, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his son Chris and his family. Preceding him in death were his parents. Survivors include his son Chris and wife Vanessa Saltmarsh of Clive, Iowa; his daughter Jordan Saltmarsh of Exira, Iowa; his grandchildren: Lucas Saltmarsh and Gabrielle Saltmarsh both of Clive; his brother Ron Saltmarsh of Missouri; his sister Sharon and husband Wayne Stevens of Montana; his special friend Margaret Hansen; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Service:
To honor his wishes, William was cremated and the family will have a private service at a later date.
