Nadine Markley
(February 12, 1928 - December 27, 2011)

Nadine C. Markley, 83, of Longmont, Colorado, passed away Dec. 27, 2011 at the Life Care Center in Longmont.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 15, 2012 at Peace Lutheran Church in Glidden with Pastor Alan Miller officiating. Organist for the service will be Mrs. Becky Miller. Interment will be in the Merle Hay Memorial Cemetery near Glidden.

Mrs. Markley was born on February 12, 1928 in Ames, Iowa to Joseph Pleshek and Fern Mason. Nadine graduated High School in Scranton, Iowa. Right after High School she started working as a bank teller in Scranton, Iowa.

Nadine married Keith L. Markley on January 7, 1948 in Glidden, Iowa; they lived in many places before moving to Colorado in 1966 from Northern California. She worked as a homemaker, raising their two sons, and as a bank teller at several banks over the years. She also volunteered at the Boulder Community Hospital in the late 60's.

When she had free time in her busy works schedule she enjoyed painting and photography. She and her husband were members of the Longmont Camera Club. She and Keith enjoyed traveling the country in their RV and taking photos to share with her friends and family. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and being with her family as often as possible.

Mrs. Markley is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Keith L Markley and two sisters Kay Tasler and Patty Boles.

Nadine is survived two sons, Stewart Markley (Janice) of Henderson, NV, and Sterling Markley (Janet) of Loveland, CO, three brothers, Phil Pleshek of Omaha, NB, Richard Pleshek of Melbourne, FL, and Harry Pleshek of Mims, FL., three grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews.
