LONNIE R. WHELAN, 69, of Osceola, MO., died April 2011, in Springfield, MO. Graveside services for LONNIE WHELAN will be held 10:30-a.m. Wed., June 20th, at the Graceland Cemetery at Avoca. Pauley-Jones Funeral Home in Avoca has the arrangements.

LONNIE WHELAN is survived by:
His mother – Zoe Kibby, of Dunlap, IA;
His wife – Janice Whelan, of Osceola, MO;
His son – Lon (Ann-Margaret) Whelan, Jr., of San Clemente, CA;
His step-children: Kevin (Sheril) Kobs, and Keith (Cindy) Kobs, all of Avoca; Kim Kobbs, of Maryville, TN; Kathy McTwiggan, of AR;
His Sister – Keva Soma, of Dunlap, IA;
His brothers – Kevin Kibby, of Osceola, MO., & Kelly (Toni) Kibby, of Westside, IA;
3 grandchildren, 13 step-grandchildren, 9 step great-grandchildren.

Lonnie Whelan passed away on April 2, 2011 in Springfield, MO. Survivors include his wife: Janice Whelan of Osceola, MO; his mother: Zoe Kibby of Dunlap; 1 son: Lon (Ann-Margaret) Whelan, Jr. of San Clemente, CA; 4 step-children: Kevin (Sheril) Kobs; Keith (Cindy) Kobs all of Avoca; Kim Kobs of Maryville, TN; and Katy Mctwiggan of Arkansas; 1 sister: Keva Soma of Dunlap; 2 brothers: Kevin Kibby of Osceola, MO; and Kelly (Toni) Kibby of Westside; 3 grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; and 9 step-great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Janice Whelan of Osceola, Missouri; son, Lonnie Whelan Jr. (and his wife Ann-Margaret) of San Clemente, California; step children: Kevin (Sheril) Kobs of Avoca, Iowa, Keith (Cindy) Kobs of Avoca, Kim Kobs of Maryville, Tennessee, and Kathy Mctwiggan of Arizona; 3 grandchildren: Carly, Nick, and Ryann of San Clemente; 4 step-grandchildren by a previous marriage that was very special to him: Yvette, Donnie, Kathy, and Jeff Obara; 9 step-grandchildren; 9 step-great-grandchildren; his mother, Zoe Kibby of Dunlap, Iowa; sister, Keva Soma of Dunlap; brothers: Kevin Kibby of Osceola, MO, and Kelly (Toni) Kibby of Westside, Iowa.
