Age 77. Omaha. Born in Avoca, IA. Graduated from Avoca High School in 1953. He entered the Army, serving from 1955-1957. Ron married Ann Marie Mathiasen on June 13, 1959, and recently celebrated 53 years of marriage. He retired from Roberts Dairy in 1999. Ron was known to all his family and friends as an easy going man with a remarkable sense of humor. He was respected and loved for his honesty, integrity, work ethic, and generosity. His life and faith where an example to all who knew him. Member of Teamsters Local #554; Millard American Legion; and active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Millard. Preceded in death by parents, Harry Charles and Frances Elmer (Nelson) Wendt; and sister, Janice (Wendt) Tooley. Survived by wife, Ann Marie; daughter, Terri Lynn (Wendt) Tobin and husband Pete, Martinez, CA; son, Douglas Allen Wendt and wife Lori, Gretna; sister, Barbara Pittmann and husband Marvin, Avoca; brother-in-law, Jim Tooley, Walnut, IA; grandchildren, Kevin, Ryan, Jessica, and Brad; numerous nieces, nephews; many close friends.

VISITATION Sunday 3-6pm at Crosby Colonial Chapel.

MEMORIAL SERVICE Monday 11am at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 13271 Millard Avenue.

Private Inurnment.

Memorial donations to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
