ROBERT LEE BLADT, 86, of Elk Horn, died Mon., June 11th, at the Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic. Graveside services for ROBERT BLADT will be held 2-p.m. Mon., June 18th, at the Elk Horn Lutheran Church Cemetery. Hockenberry Family Care Funeral Home in Atlantic has the arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the Danish Immigrant Museum.

His children – Diane (Jim) Hines, of Morse Bluff, NE; & Carol (John) Ewing, of Elk Horn, IA.;
His sisters – Norma Jean (Larry) Meyers, of Austin, TX; & Romona Mae (Delbert) Andersen, of Elk Horn, IA.;
4 grandchildren & 2 great-grandchildren.

Graveside Services for 85 year old Robert Lee Bladt of Elk Horn will be held at 2pm on Monday, June 18 at the Elk Horn Lutheran Church Cemetery. Robert passed away on Monday, June 11 at the Cass County Memorial Hospital. Survivors include 2 children: Diane (Jim) Hines of Morse Bluff, NE; and Carol (John) Ewing of Elk Horn; 2 sisters: Norma Jean (Larry) Meyers of Austin, TX; and Romona Mae (Delbert) Andersen of Elk Horn; 4 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Hockenberry Family Care in Atlantic is in charge of arrangements.

Robert Lee Bladt (February 11, 1927 - June 11, 2012)

U.S. Veteran Robert Lee Bladt, 85, of Elk Horn, Iowa, died June 11, 2012, at Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic, Iowa.

He was born February 11, 1927 in Kimballton, Iowa to Ole and Alna Bladt. He was a member of the Elk Horn Lutheran Church.

Robert is survived by his daughters Diane Hines and her husband Jim of Morse Bluff, Nebraska and Carol Ewing and her husband John of Elk Horn, IA; four grandchildren: Amy Butler of Ocean Shores, WA, Allen Butler and wife Angie of Kimballton, IA, Michael Hines of Prague, NE and Jill Hines of Denver, CO; two great-grandchildren; two sisters Norma Jean Meyers and husband Larry of Austin, TX and Romona Mae Andersen and husband Delbert of Elk Horn, IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ole and Alna Bladt, his son Robert Allen Bladt, his wife Maxine Bladt and his brother Donald Bladt.

A graveside service will be held at Elk Horn Lutheran Cemetery in Elk Horn, Iowa, at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 18, 2012.

The family requests memorials to the Danish Immigrant Museum or the Elk Horn Lutheran Church.
