DENISON, Iowa -- Karen Foxhoven, 61, of Denison, formerly of Mapleton, Iowa, was found dead Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at her home.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 3 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mapleton. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Mapleton. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Monday,

Karen Foxhoven, 61 of Denison, and formerly of Mapleton, was found dead at her home on Wednesday, March 14.
A funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mapleton, with burial at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mapleton.
The Armstrong Funeral Home in Mapleton is in charge of arrangements where friends may call after 5 p.m. on Monday, April 2. A Vigil Wake service will be performed at 7 p.m. on April 2 followed by the Rosary at the Armstrong Funeral Home in Mapleton.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mapleton, with the Rev. Brian Danner officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Monday, with a vigil wake service at 7 p.m. followed by a rosary, at Armstrong Funeral Home in Mapleton. Karen Ann Foxhoven was born on Jan. 11, 1951, in Mapleton, the daughter of Joe and Veronica (Solko) Foxhoven. She was baptized at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mapleton and received her education at Maple Valley School, graduating with the class of 1969. Karen worked in Storm Lake, Iowa at Alf's until 1984 when she moved to Denison. There she was employed at Ampride for many years.
In her spare time, Karen enjoyed making many beautiful afghans that she graciously shared with her family.
Those left to cherish her memory include her two brothers and their wives, Denny and Marlene Foxhoven of Ida Grove, Iowa, and Ron and Kathy Foxhoven of Spencer, Iowa; one sister and her husband, Alice and Gene Wimmer of Mapleton; and many extended relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Richard Foxhoven; two sisters-in law, Noreen Foxhoven and Beverly Foxhoven; and one nephew, Joseph Foxhoven.
