Dale Ahart, 51 of Denison, died Friday, March 16, at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 20, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Denison with burial at the Dow City Cemetery.

The Huebner Funeral Home in Denison is in charge of arrangements where friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 19.

Survivors include his mother, Shirley Ahart of Denison; two brothers, Michael Ahart and Joseph Ahart, both of Denison; and one sister, Julie Fischer, of Neola.

Dale Ahart

Dale Curtis Ahart was born June 21, 1960, the son of William and Shirley Namanny Ahart. He passed away Friday, March 16, 2012, at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison, Iowa, at the age of 51.

Dale was born in Denison, Iowa. He was baptized in faith August 14, 1960, and confirmed on June 8, 1975 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Denison. He received his education at the Denison Community Schools, graduating in 1979. During High School he worked for Stan Kracht and following graduation he was self employed for a brief time. Following his love for cars he began working for Johnson Motors in Denison, then Mac Chevrolet in Mapleton, and then returned to Johnson Motors.

Dale was a loving brother and uncle. In his spare time, Dale enjoyed watching NASCAR races and cruising around in his car. He absolutely loved his 1969 and 1970 Mustangs and socializing with his friends in the car club. He also enjoyed radio controlled scale model airplanes, computers, and Ebay. He was elated with the birthday party held for him last summer.

Dale was preceded in death by his father, Bill. Survivors include his mother, Shirley; two brothers, Michael and his wife, Lori; Joseph and his wife, Marla; one sister, Julie and her husband, Matt; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
