DAVENPORT–Scott Douglas Burton, 56, of Davenport, passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at home.

Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 a.m., on Friday, September 3, 202, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Deacon Dennis McDonald will officiate. Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 until 11:30 a.m., on Friday, September 3, 2021, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Scott County. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.

Scott was born on May 14, 1965, in Moline, Illinois, the son of James A. Burton and Florence Eileen Burton (Robinson). He graduated form Rock Island High School.

He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and cheering on the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears.

Scott is survived by his sister Pamela Hebert and husband, Patrick, of Minnesota; two nephews; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father; all four grandparents, James Burton, Florence (Anderson) Burton, Clarence Robinson Sr., Florence (Kuster) Robinson.
