Mary Scieszinski

Services for Mary A. Scieszinski, 88, a resident of Ridgecrest Retirement Village, Davenport, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Davenport. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation is 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at Halligan - McCabe Funeral Home, where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.

Mrs. Scieszinski died Wednesday at the Village.

Mary Comer married Daniel Scieszinski in 1916 in Georgetown, Iowa. He preceded her in death.

She was a member of the church's Altar and Rosary Society.

Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Ray (Donna) Benson, Davenport, and Mrs. Edward (Betty) Conway, Newburg, Ind.; a son, Jack, Albia, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Celia Carr, Albia.

Mary A. Scieszinski

Mary A. Scieszinski, 88, of Ridgecrest retirement Village in Davenport died Oct. 19 at the retirement center.

She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Davenport and of the church’s Alter and Rosary Society. Mary Comer married Daniel Scieszinski in 1916 in Georgetown. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one son, James.

Surviving are two daughters, Donna Benson of Davenport and Betty Conway of Newburg, Ind.; one son, Jack of Albia; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and one sister, Celia Carr of Albia.

The funeral was 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Davenport. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Halligan – McCabe Funeral Home in Davenport was in charge of arrangements.
