DAVENPORT - Edward F. Conway, 69, of Davenport, died Saturday at Genesis Medical Center-West Campus, Davenport.

Mr. Conway Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Davenport. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Davenport.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday at Halligan-McCabe Funeral Home, Davenport, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m.

He retired in 1984 as a supervisor at Alcoa after 36 years. He married Betty Scieszinski in 1950 in Davenport. He served in the Navy during World War II.

He was a member of the church. His hobbies included golf and gardening. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to St. Anthony Care & Share Program or the American Cancer Society.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Jeffrey, Davenport; two grand-children; sisters, Margaret (Mrs. Alvin) Strouth, Ashton, Iowa, Theresa (Mrs. Emory) Yager, Bettendorf, and Betty Conway and Mary Jo Carlin, both of Davenport; a brother, George, Bettendorf.

He was preceded in death by a son, Timothy, in 1984.

NOTE: Edward Francis Conway, Jr (1926 - 1995), son of Edward Francis (1894 - 1963) and Mary Wihelmenia "Minnie" (Bruggeman) Conway (1894 - 1989). Married Elizabeth Regina "Betty" Scieszinski (B: 1929) May 20, 1950 at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Davenport, IA. Father of adopted sons Timothy E "Tim" Conway (1957 - 1984) and Jeffrey R "Jeff" Conway (1963 - 1997), grandfather of Amanda and Brett Conway.
