A memorial service for Melvin L. Dirksen, 97, of rural LeClaire, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at Pleasant View Baptist Church, Bettendorf. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mr. Dirksen died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020, at his home.

Memorials may be made to Ethnos 360 (formerly known as New Tribes Missions) or to Pleasant View Baptist Church.
