Roy S. Kracke, 66, of 2106 1/2 Fifteenth Street, Moline, retired John Deere & Co. paymaster, died early this morning in his home.

A resident of Moline 28 years, Mr. Kracke had been paymaster at Deere & Co. for 30 years. He retired February 1.

Mr. Kracke was born January 8, 1883 in Davenport, a son of Frank and Mary
Kracke. He attended Davenport schools and Augustana College. He married Levy B.
Cole, October 15, 1909 in Clinton, Iowa. He was a member of Doric Lodge of
Masons and Plymouth Congregational Church.

Surviving are the widow, two sons, Frank C. Kracke of Seattle, Washington
and Roy S. Kracke Jr. of East Moline; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Browning of
Hamilton, Montana, the wife of Dr. Harry S. Browning, formerly of Moline, and
Mrs. Maisie Albertson of Boulder, Colorado, and four grandchildren. A daughter
died 25 years ago.

Funeral services for Roy S. Kracke 66, of 2106 1/2
Fifteenth Street, Moline, retired Deere & Co. paymaster, who died Monday,
were held yesterday afternoon in Wendt Brothers' Funeral Home, the Rev.
Frederick Brink of Plymouth Congregational Church officiating, Jean Kusy sang
and Mrs. Clifford Doxey played the organ.

Pallbearers were Alfred Buehler, Al DeJaeger, John Garstang, Hugo
Overhoff, Homer Hawk, and Ross Mitchel. Burial was January 22, 1949 in Pine Hill
Cemetery, Davenport, Iowa, Scott County
