Last rites for Mrs. Richard (Verna H.) Puck, 82, Davenport, were held at the Runge Mortuary, Davenport, May 21 with the Rev. Ordel Petersen, St. Mark Lutheran church, officiating. Burial was in Davenport Memorial cemetery. Kenneth Peterson sang.

Mrs. Puck died at the Americana Health Care Center, Davenport, May 18.

The daughter of William and Emma Moeller Illian, she was born in Muscatine county Dec. 16, 1905. She married Richard Puck in Davenport Jan. 26, 1927. He died Jan. 12, 1981.

The couple farmed in Scott county for 40 years. After retiring they moved to Davenport in 1967. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran church.

She is survived by 5 daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Leila) Dittmer, Wheatland; Mrs. Elwood (Marlene) Harmsen, Davenport; Mrs. Kenneth (Veronna) Sorgenfrey, Stockton; Mrs. Robert (Eileen) Peterson, Orion, Ill. and Mrs. Wallace (Jean)Kelding, Walcott; 20 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Edna Paper, Durant.
