Funeral services for Myrtle J. Mayerhofer, 74,New Liberty, were held Jan. 24, 1987 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Wheatland, with the Rev. Harold Koenig officiating. The organist was Eleanor Kelding and the vocalist was Kathy Patterson. Burial was in the Davenport Memorial Park.

Mrs. Mayerhofer died Jan. 21 at the Wheatland Manor Nursing Home.

The daughter of Charles and Helen Schumacher Sievers, she was born Dec. 20, 1912 in Scott county. She married William Mayerhofer Oct. 7, 1931 in Davenport and they were lifelong residents of Scott county.

She is survived by her husband, William, New Liberty; a son, Eugene, New Liberty; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; her mother, Helen Sievers, Davenport and a brother, Ralph Sievers, Davenport. She was preceded in death by her father, a son and a brother.
