DAVENPORT--Services for Mildred D. Williams, 74, a resident of Davenport, will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday at All Faith Chapel of Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Davenport.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Williams died unexpectedly Sunday, March 18, 2001, at Genesis Medical Center-East Campus, Davenport.

She retired from Matthews Office Equipment, where she had been a bookkeeper.

Mildred Doris "Millie" Kurth was born June 23, 1926, in Minneapolis, the daughter of Henry and Katherine (Schenkelberg) Kurth. She married Merrill M. Williams on Oct. 17, 1960. He preceded her in death Feb. 27, 1978.

Millie graduated from Minneapolis High School and attended the University of Minnesota.

She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and was a volunteer at CASI and Wilson Elementary School. She also had been very active in the Eagles Lodge, Davenport.

Millie's approach to life and vigor were always younger than her years. Her family and friends will always enjoy the many memories that she gave them.

Memorials may be made to CASI, American Cancer Society or a favorite charity.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Barby Williams, Winter Springs, Fla., Mike Williams, Keota, Iowa, and Ray and Julie Williams, Madison, Wis.; and grandchildren, Susan, Debbie, Cindy and Spencer.
