Ackermann

Mrs. Margretha Ackermann, a pioneer resident of Scott county, passed away at her home seven miles north of Davenport, yesterday noon at 12:15 o'clock.

The decedent was born in Probstei, Holstein, Germany, April 24, 1842, and came to the United States, direct to Scott county in 1876. She was united in marriage to Peter Ackermann at Davenport in 1881. The couple settled on the present farm north of the city, and resided there since.

Surviving are her husband, one son, Henry O. Ackermann, and a sister in Germany. A daughter, Alvina, preceded her in death 38 years ago.

Funeral services will be held from the home Saturday afternoon at one o'clock, and interment will be made in Davenport, at the Fairmount cemetery.
