H. C. Stoltenberg

Henry C. Stoltenberg, 66, life resident of Davenport, died at his home, 1829 Wet Thirteenth street, at 2 a.m. Sunday. He had been in failing health since 1935.

Mr. Stoltenberg was born in Davenport Sept. 23, 1862, son of the late Claus and Dorothy Stoltenberg. He attended the Davenport schools and in April, 1900 was married to Margaret Peters in Davenport. He had been custodian at Madison school for 20 years prior to his retirement a year ago. He was a member of the Eagles lodge.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Runge chapel. Burial will be in Memorial park cemetery.

Survivors are his widow; 2 daughters, Mrs. Rudolph Claussen and Mrs. Claude Groves, both of Davenport; 2 grandchildren, Janelle Claussen and Joyce Groves, Davenport; and 2 sisters, Mrs. Chris Wagner, Davenport and Mrs. Jack Gruenwald, Le Claire. Three brothers preceded him in death.
