Mrs. Helen Pettit, nee Jensen passed away at 5:45 Thursday evening at Mercy hospital after a week’s illness. The deceased was born in Moline on Feb. 1, 1895. She received her education in the public schools of Moline. In 1912 she was united in marriage with Charles R. Pettit in Davenport. Since their marriage they resided on the farm of Mr. Pettit on R.R. 6, Rockingham road. Besides the husband, the deceased is survived by two children, John and Dorothea. The parents of the deceased, Mr. and Mrs. John Jensen, and the following brothers and sisters reside in Moline: Mathias, Jassias [sic - Jessias], Marie, George, John, Louis, and Irene. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o’clock from the home of the parents of the deceased, 549 Eighteenth-and-a-half avenue, Moline. Interment will be made in Riverside cemetery.
