The body of John J. Egan, former resident of Davenport who died in Kansas City, Mo., April 7, arrived Wednesday night and was taken to the Halligan mortuary from where the funeral will be held at 8:30 a.m. Friday with services at 9 o'clock at St. Paul the Apostle church. Burial will be made in St. Marguerite's cemetery.

Mr. Egan was born in Davenport, Sept. 10, 1876, and received his education in St. Marguerite's parochial school and St. Ambrose college. He left Davenport about 15 years ago. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus of Charleston, S.C.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Edwin Petersen of Denver, Colo., and one brother, Michael of Davenport. The body was accompanied here by his sister.
