Patrick J. Dawson died at Pine Knoll sanitarium Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock after an illness of the past eight months.

The deceased was born in County Carlow, Ireland, on March 17, 1877, and had been a resident of Davenport for the past 31 years. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Patrick Gaskin of 1102 Ripley street, Davenport and Mrs. M. Neill in Ireland and two brothers, James and Edward Dawson in Ireland.

The funeral will be held on Saturday from the Halligan funeral home at 8:30 a.m. to St. Anthony's church at 9 a.m. Interment will be made in St. Marguerite's cemetery. The family kindly request that flowers be omitted.
