AT REST.

The funeral of the late James Thompson was held Friday afternoon from the residence at 805 Brady street and was attended by almost all of Davenport's prominent business men. Several beautiful and appropriate hymns were sung by the United Presbyterian choir and the prayer was offered by Rev. J.B. Little, Rev. J.T. Meloy of the United Presbyterian church delivered the funeral sermon. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. The pallbearers were E.E. Cook, A. Burdick, T.H. Griggs, F.H. Hancock, G.W. Cable and J.R. Nutting, all life long friends and business associates of the deceased. Interment was a Oakdale.
