A SAD RETURN.

The Funeral of Mrs. T.J. Martin This Afternoon.

The many friends of the Mrs. T. J. Martin in this city were pained by the sad news of her death, which occurred in Chicago three years ago, after spending the preceding nineteen years in Davenport, where they had formed a wide circle of well-wishers and acquaintances. Mr. Martin was for many years engaged as a representative of the leading flouring interests of this part of Iowa, first with H.P. Beattie of the Phenix Mills company and later with the Davenport Mills company. Mrs. Martin's maiden name was Sue E. French. There survive to mourn her loss her husband, two daughters, Mrs. A.A. Ames and Mrs. F.T. Conklin, and one son, Harry B. Martin--all of Chicago.

The remains arrived in Davenport last evening. The funeral services will take place at 2 o'clock this afternoon at Trinity church. Interment will be made in Oakdale cemetery.

*Note: publication does list "three years" and not "three days", which is probably more accurate.
