OBITUARY.

Grey.

Mrs. William Grey died at the home of her son in Des Moines at 2 o'clock Sunday. Mrs. Grey and her husband were early settlers of this county, having come here in 1840. They settled on what is now the Murray farm, on Jersey ridge, but in 1845 Mr. Grey sold his farm moved to the city, and went to clerking for Charles Leslie, who was engaged in the general store business at the time. Mr. Grey afterwards bought a house and a tract of five acres in Eldridge's addition in East Davenport, and lived there awhile, after which he purchased the property on the southeast corner of Iowa and Sixth streets, and resided there until his death which occurred about four years ago. Mrs. Grey removed to Des Moines, where she mad her home with one of her sons and one daughter. The funeral will occur form the Christian church in this city tomorrow.
