OBITUARY.

ASHTON.

Mrs. Lydia Ashton, wife of Mr. Geo. W. Aston, died at their residence, 2009 Rock Island street, Tuesday evening from general debility, aged 63 years. She was an old settler, coming to this country with her father, Peter Remine, in 1840, and for a long time living at Jersey Ridge, but for the last ten years or more in Davenport. She was an enthusiastic woman, and in her death one more old settler is gone, and they are fast passing away. Her funeral will take place from the residence Thursday, and all the old settlers are invited to be present.
