Davenport Daily Leader; September 14, 1900:

There died this morning at 2 o'clock in Blue Grass township at the home of her son-in-law E. C. Hartwell, Mrs. Louisa Dorsey, in the 72nd year of her age. The fatal ailment was heart failure. Deceased was one of the early pioneers of the township and was well and favorably known. The funeral will occur from the above residence at 10 o'clock Sunday morning with interment in the Blue Grass cemetery.
