Davenport-Services for Frank R. Cale, 76, Davneport will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at McGinnis, Chambers and Sass Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today.
Mr. Cale died Sunday at home after an extended illness.
He retired in 1979 as a plant mechanic after more than 30 years at Iowa-Illinois Riverside Generating Station, Bettendorf.
Mr. Cale married Frances Walsh in 1954 in Bettendorf. She died in 1975.
During World War II, he served with the Army in the Rhineland and Ardennes. He received the Purple Heart, European-Afrincan Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon and two bronze battle stars.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of Visiting Nurses Association of Scott County.
Survivors include sons, James and Richard, both of Davenport, Bill, Rock Island and David, Clinton, Iowa; seven grandchildre and a great-grandson.
