Frances Dyer

DAVENPORT – Services for Frances M. Dyer, 64, of Davenport, will be 11:30 a.m. Friday at Runge Mortuary & Crematory, Davenport. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal.

Visitation is 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.

Mrs. Dyer died Monday, June 2, 1997, at Genesis Medical Center-East Campus, Davenport.

She was employed as a truck driver for John F. Frieburger Excavating and had tended bar at the Green Tree Tap, LeClaire, Iowa.

Frances McFate was born May 17, 1933, in Buffalo, Iowa. She married Donald “Skeet” Dyer in 1958 in Peoria, Ill.

Memorials may be made to the family.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Patricia Dyer, Muscatine, Iowa; sons, Randy and Larry, both of Davenport; eight grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a sister, Nancy Porter, Folletts, Iowa; and a brother, Howard McFate, LeClaire.
