Friday evening at 8:40 o'clock, occurred the death of Mrs. Catherine M. Koch at her home, 503 West Sixteenth street, after and illness of one week, from pneumonia. She was born in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, Dec. 13, 1836, and came to America and Scott county in 1855. In 1859 she married Rudolf Koch, their golden wedding anniversary was celebrated March 23. She is survived by her husband, Rudolf Koch, eight children, Mrs. Caroline Ballhorn, John Koch, Mrs. Christina Jahn, Mrs. Laura Kuehl, Henry Koch, Mrs. Mathilda Kreide [Kreiter], Rudolf and Walter Koch, one sister, Mrs. Mary Wiese and one brother, Fred Geertz.

The funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the home with interment in Pine Hill cemetery.
