Joseph Clark O'Haver, 2139 Mound street, passed away at his home last evening at 8:30 o'clock, after an illness of one week.
He was born Sept. 8, 1855, in Rock Island county, Illinois. SUrviving are his wife, Mrs. Joseph C. O'Haver, four sons, Elbert, Evert and Darry [sic] of Davenport and Dr. Lafayette O'Haver of Booneville, Ind. One daughter, Mrs. Nona Livingston of Milan, Ill., also survives, as well as three grandsons, Raymond, Lewis and Marion O'Haver, four brothers, William of Nichols, Ia., Matthew of Millersburg, Ill., and Joel and Frank at Ottumwa.
Deceased was the head carpenter at the Orphans' home for the past five years. He was married Aug. 9, 1883, to Miss Jennie Roseman at Muscatine. He was a lifelong member of the Baptist church.The Davenport Democrat & Leader; Sunday Morning, November 11. 1923:

Funeral services for Joseph Clark O'Haver will be held from the residence, 2139 Mound street, at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon and at 2:30 from the Orphans' Home chapel, with interment in Oakdale cemetery.The Davenport Democrat & Leader; Tuesday Evening, November 13. 1923:
The O'Haver Funeral
Funeral services for Joseph Clark O'Haver were held at the home, 2139 Mound street at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon, with 2:30 o'clock services at the Orphans' Home chapel. The services at the chapel were held at the special request of the Orphans' Home children.
Rev. H. B. Cox officiated at the services. At the chapel Miss Mae Chambers, accompanied by Mrs. Ida R. Culberson, Instructor in music at the Home, sang "Asleep in Jesus."
The quartet of the Calvary Baptist church, composed of Rufus Brown, Janet Brubaker, Lenora Hampton and Rev. H. B. Cox, sang "One Sweetly Solemn Thought" and "Will Jesus Find Us Watching?"
The children of the home, in uniform, marched from the chapel to the grave, under the supervision of Superintendent Treat, and made a very impressive procession.
Pallbearers were William Gottschalk, P. Jungbluth, Frank Miller, H. G. Hammond, H. J. Erbst and T. G. Dabney.
Interment was made in Oakdale cemetery.
