JOHN DOYLE, 83, DIES SUNDAY P.M., SERVICES WEDNESDAY

John Doyle, 83, passed away at 11:00 p.m. Sunday at the DeWitt Community Hospital, where he had been a patient for a week. The body reposed in the Hanrahan Funeral Home, where a prayer service was held at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday. Requiem Mass followed at 9:30 in St. Joseph's Catholic church with Rev. E. A. Cone officiating. Burial was in St. Ann's Cemetery, Long Grove.

Mr. Doyle was born October 10, 1874 in Scott County to James and Bridget Doyle. He had farmed in Scott County until coming to DeWitt 6 years ago. He had never married.

Surviving are a brother, William Doyle, Princeton and a sister, Mrs. Theresa Bickel, DeWitt, with whom he had made his home. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
