The Davenport Democrat & Leader; Wednesday Evening, May 25, 1927:

Mrs. Julia Ann Pillion, wife of William Pillion, died at 12:50 a.m. Wednesday at the family home, 216 West Central Park avenue. She had been ailing for the past three months.
Mrs. Pillion was born in Canton, Ill., and for the past 25 years has been a resident of Davenport. Besides her husband she is survived by one daughter, Catherine Helen, at home, her mother, Mrs. Cordelia Chipping of Canton, Ill., one sister, Mrs. Nell Eshelman of Canton, and one brother, William H. Chipping of Hood River, Ore.
The body was taken to the Halligan funeral home and will be returned to the residence on Thursday afternoon. Arrangements for the funeral services will be announced.
