Funeral services for Henry Wiese, R. R. No. 1, Davenport, who died Friday, were held at 2:30 p. m. Moday in the Runge chapel, with the Rev. J. A. Miller officiating. Mrs. H. V. Lewis sang two hymns and burial was in Pine Hill cemetery.Bearers were William Kreiter, Rudolph Koch, William Warnebold, George Nagle, Ferd Baustian and Leo Schaefer.
A life resident of Scott county, Mr. Wiese was born May 29, 1877, and was educated in rural schools. On Sept. 18, 1901, he married Anna Rauch in Davenport, and she died in 1935. He was of Lutheran faith.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Henry Kreiter and Mrs. Arnold Kuehl, both of R. R. No. 1, Davenport; a son, Arnold, also of R. R. No. 1, Davenport; four sisters, Mrs. Gus Eckermann, Mrs. Adolph Kuehl and Mrs. Rudolph Koch, all of Eldridge, and Mrs. Theodore Reimers, Durant; three brothers, Peter, Fred and John, all of Eldridge, and seven grandchildren.
