Richard Dollins

DAVENPORT ---- Services for Richard V. Dollins, 55, of Davenport will be 1 p.m. Friday at Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park.

Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Dollins died Monday, Jan. 26, 1998, at Genesis Medical Center-East Campus, Davenport.

He was employed as superintendent of postal operations at the U. S. Post Office in East Moline. He had been with the postal service for 25 years.

He was born May 31, 1942, in Fairfield, Iowa, to Vernie and Esther (Messer) Dollins. He married Jane Double on Feb. 19, 1972 in Huntington Beach, Calif.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood working and cruising in his "Vette".

Survivors include his wife; sons, Eric and daughter-in-law Jamie, San Francisco, Jason and daughter-in-law Kelly, Davenport, and Rich, Davenport; his parents, Vernie and Esther Dollins, Davenport; a sister. Colleen Thede, Pittsburgh; and brothers, Jim Dollins and Ron Dollins both of Davenport.
