Obituary from Davenport Memorial Park

Betty DeYoung

Services for Mrs. William M. (Betty) DeYoung, 53, of 11922 98th St. W., Taylor Ridge, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park.

Visitation is noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Knox-Larson Funeral Home, Rock Island, where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m.

Mrs. DeYoung died Sunday at Illini Hospital.

She was formerly employed by Emery Cleaners, Silvis.

Betty Jean Brown married William DeYoung in 1946 in Davenport.

She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Andalusia.

Survivors include her husband; daughters, Mrs. James (Theresa) Ludwig and Mrs. Neil (Vicki) Ruggles, both of Taylor Ridge, and Mrs. Mark (Debra) Fuller, Port Bryon; seven grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Helen Brown, Colona; sisters, Margie Keel, East Moline; Mrs. Lewis ( Patricia) Heatherly and Mrs. Charles (Myrtle) Ledbetter, both of Coal Valley, and Mrs. Mervin (Margaret) Teggatz, Waco, Texas; and brothers, Dean Brown, Green Rock, and Richard Burdett Brown, Silvis.
