Edward Loan died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank B. Huggins, 503 East 11th street, at 8:30 o'clock this morning. Death terminated an illness of four months duration.

The decedent was born in County Kerry, Ireland, on October 10, 1852. He came to the United States as a child, and has been a resident of Davenport the past 18 years, and an active member of Sacred Heart Cathedral.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Frank B. Huggins, and Mrs. Elizabeth Mealey, both of Davenport; one brother, James of Amboy, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Friel of Amboy, and Mrs. Nancy Ryan of Aurora, Ill.; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

The body will be sent to his old home in Amboy on Wednesday at 11:35 a.m. Funeral services will be held there on Thursday at St. Patrick's church at 9 a.m. and interment will follow in St. Patrick's cemetery.
