Philip Karr, 415 East Tenth street, died at his home Friday afternoon at 1:20 after an illness of six weeks.

He was born in County Donegal, Ireland, and was 56 years of age. Mr. Karr came to Davenport 35 years ago and in 1891 married Miss Anna Collins, the late Very Rev. D. J. Flannery of St. Anthony's church officiating. For 25 years, Mr. Karr was in the employ of the French & Hecht Wheel Works as a machinist.

He leaves, besides his wife, three daughters, Mrs. A. J. Benson of Rock Island, Mrs. R. J. Trevor of Chicago, and Miss Catherine, at home; one son, John, of Davenport; two grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. P. Bos of Rock Island, Miss Bridget Karr of Davenport and Miss Margery Karr of Ireland; and a brother, Edward, of Ireland.

The funeral will be held Monday morning from the home, with services at 9 o'clock at Sacred Heart cathedral. Interment will be in St. Marguerite's cemetery. It is the request of the family that no flowers be sent.
