Wilma A. Zabel, 96, of Davenport, passed away Thursday Dec. 25, 2003 at Davenport Lutheran Home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. today at The Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the mortuary. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport. Memorials may be made to North Scott Education Fund of Community Foundation of the Great River Bend.

She was born April 2, 1907, in rural Scott County to Albert and Annie (Kay) Zabel. She worked on the family farm for 55 years prior to her retirement.

Wilma was a member of Farm Bureau and active leader of 4-H for many years. She was a 75-year member of Pythian Sisters and Past Chiefs.

She enjoyed working in the garden and planting. She also enjoyed golfing.

She is survived by several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Elmer and Raymond.
