Rogge Funeral.

The funeral of John P. Rogge, a former Scott county farmer will be held Sunday afternoon. Services will take place at the Fred N Ruhl funeral parlors at 2 o'clock and interment will be in St. Marguerite cemetery.

The death of Rogge occurred at Winnett, Mont., Aug. 13, and was due to accidental drowning, details of which have not reached relatives here. The body is en route to Davenport, and is expected to arrive here Saturday.

Rogge was born Oct. 2, 1887 and was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nicolas Rogge, well known in Scott county. He went to Montana 29 years ago. Funeral services were held in St. Leo's church, Lewistown, Mont., Thursday.

Surviving the dead man are six brothers and four sisters. The brothers are Joseph H., Bernard J., Odillo G., and Albert J., all of Winnett; Margus G. and Edward, of Davenport. The sisters are Mrs. F. G. Heim, Julia, Theresa and Agnes Rogge, all of Davenport.

The Rogge Funeral

The body of John P. Rogge, who was accidentally drowned in Priest river, in the city of Priest, Idaho, arrived in Davenport Saturday at 6:15 p.m., accompanied by his brother, Albert, and two sisters, Mrs. Ferdinand Heim and Miss Julia Rogge.

It was removed to the Fred N. Ruhl funeral home, from where the funeral will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock to Sacred Heart cathedral at 2:30.

Mr. Rogge, a former Scott county farmer, was employed as a government surveyor in Idaho.

Two uncles, Benjamin Schilling of Jefferson, Ia., and Henry Schilling of Cooper, Ia., are here to attend the services.

John P. Rogge Buried Sunday

Funeral services for John P. Rogge, a former prominent Scott county farmer whose death occured at Priest River, Idaho, and whose body was shipped to Davenport for burial, were held Sunday afternoon. The services were held at the Fred N. Ruhl funeral home, thence to Sacred Heart cathedral.

At the home, Howard Carroll sang "Lead Kindly Light," and at the conclusion of the services at the cathedral, he sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere."

The Rev. F. J. Leonard pronounced the burial absolution, and preached the funeral sermon. Burial was in St. Marguerite's cemetery.

The pallbearers were Benjaman and Henry Schilling, Edward Jens, John Worthman, Henry Hintz, and Joe Gaukier.
