George Bernard Schebler, 83, life resident of Davenport and retired Rock Ilsand arsenal employee, died at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in his home 117 1/2 East Sixth street.

Prior to retiring July 1, 1930, he had been ployed for 37 years at the arsenal, and was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic church; Davenport lodge No. 28, Loyal Order of Moose and Modern Woodmen of America, Rock Island. He was born May 9, 1866, and was married here to Elizabeth Gombert on May 22, 1888. She died March 28, 1925.

Surviving are 3 sons, Harry J. of Davenport, and George C. and Clarence A., both of Saginaw, Mich.; 3 daughters, Miss Elizabeth Schebler, Davenport, Mrs. Julia Buchter, New Haven, Conn., and Mrs. Oscar Petersen, Clar Lake; 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A son, Frederick E., Rock Island, died in 1939.

Funeral services will be held at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday in the Halligan funeral home followed by a requiem high mass at 9 a.m. in St. Anthony's church. Burial will be in Holy Family cemetery. The rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 8 p.m. Monday.

The Schebler Funeral.

Funeral services for George B. Schebler, 117 1/2 East Sixth street, were held in the Halligan funeral home at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday followed by a requiem high mass at 9 a.m. in St. Anthony's church. The Rev. E. W. Barron celebrated the mass, pronounced the burial absolution, preached the sermon and officiated at the committal in Holy Family cemetery.

Bearers were Michael, Edward Schebler, Al VanCamp and Ingward Petersen.
