Mrs. Cora Burke, wife of Thomas M. Burke, 1525 Eastern avenue, Davenport, died at Mercy hospital at 2:30 o’clock this morning. She had been ailing for the last five months.

Mrs. Burke was born in Smithsville, N.Y., Jan. 5, 1886, and had been a resident of Davenport the past 30 years. Her maiden name was Cora Meyers. She was married on Nov. 9, 1905. Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters, Mary and Helen, both at home; two sisters, Miss Mary Meyers of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, and Mrs. Sadie Proksch of Davenport.

The funeral will be held from the family home at 8:30 a.m. Saturday to Sacred Heart cathedral at 9 a.m. Interment will be in St. Marguerite’s cemetery.

Altho of a home loving disposition, Mrs. Burke had a number of friends who will be shocked to learn of her death which was sudden and unexpected
