Miss Mabel Spencer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Spencer, 423 West Brown street, Bettendorf, died at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. Her death terminated a short illness, which had complicated with pneumonia.

Deceased was born in Davenport, Nov. 15, 1901 and moved to Bettendorf with her parents at the age of 5 years. She was a member of the Bettendorf Tabernacle, and the Circle D. Cord and had been a teacher in the Sunday school the past eight years.

Besides her parents she is survived by four sisters, Viola, Dorothy, Ethel and Ruth.

The body was removed to the P.H. McGinnis & Sons’ funeral home, and will be taken to the Bettendorf Tabernacle for funeral services to be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Frederick Nichol will officiate at the tabernacle and at the grave in Oakdale cemetery.
