Mrs. Julia REDDY, aged 72 years, who has been at Mercy Hospital for a couple of years, died very suddenly Saturday evening shortly after supper. She had eaten heartily and when attempting to rise, fell over dead.
Mrs. REDDY is the mother-in-law of Thomas W. MATTHEWS, 2701 Harrison Street, and the body will be taken there this morning.
The funeral announcement will be made later.

The funeral of Julia REDDY, aged 77 years who died Saturday evening at Mercy Hospital, will take place Tuesday morning from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Thomas W. MATTHEWS, 2701 Harrison Street, Davenport, with services at 9 o'clock at Holy Family Church and interment in St. Margaret's cemetery.
The deceased was born in County Gallway, Ireland, May 12, 1830, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter CURLEY.
The following children survive: Mrs. Thomas W. MATTHEWS, Mrs. George OSBORN, Thos. REDDY, and John MONAHAN, all of Davenport; Andrew REDDY of Kansas City, KA; James REDDY of Kansas, Mrs. WALKER of Kansas, and Mrs. Della HUGGINS, of Fruitland, IA.
As was mentioned in Sunday's Democrat, Mrs. REDDY's death at Mrecy Hospital, where she had been for a period of three months, was very sudden.

At Holy Family Church at 9 O'clock this morning, Rev. L. J. ENRIGHT officiated at requiem high mass and absolution ceremony, in honor of Mrs. Julia REDDY. The interment followed in St. Marguerite's cemetery. The fumeral was marked by evidences of sorrow and esteem that may well be gratifying to those who especially mourn her death. James McMANUS, John FOLEY, M. M. HEANEY, Matthew KIRK, James McGEE and Frank RYAN were the pall-bearers.
