Minnick

Mrs. Margaret Minnick, a well known life-long resident of Davenport, passed away at her home, No. 11 Linden Apartments, at 10:10 o’clock Tuesday night. She had been bedfast for the past four years.

Deceased was born in Davenport, May 1, 1866, her maiden name being Margaret Garvey. She was married to William Minnick, April 25, 1886 at St. Mary’s church, the Rev. Father Flavin performing the ceremony. Mrs. Minnick was a member of St. Anthony’s church.

Besides her husband she leaves to mourn her loss, four daughters, Mrs. R.E. Carlin and Mrs. Anna Meier, both of Davenport, and the Misses Margaret and Genevieve Minnick, both at home; two sons, John and Edward Minnick, both of this city; five grandchildren, and one sister ,Miss Anna Garvey of Davenport.

The funeral will be held from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Anna Meier, 809 West Third street at 8:30 a.m. Friday to St. Anthony’s church at 9 a.m . Interment will be in Holy Family cemetery.
