FREED

Yesterday morning at 7 o'clock occurred the death of Phillip Freed, at his late residence, 2042 Brady street, of valvular disease of the heart. Mr. Freed was born in Philadelphia, Penn., March 22, 1821, and came to this city thirty-seven years ago, where he worked at his trade, that of carpenter, until the last ten years, since which time he has been unable to do much on account of his sickness, although he has been troubled with his heart for the last fifteen years. He has been a conscientious member of Calvary Baptist church for the past twenty-five years. He leaves a wife and two daughters to mourn his death. The funeral will take place tomorrow (Saturday) morning at 10 o'clock with interment at Oakdale.
