CRAWFORD FUNERAL TUESDAY AFTERNOON - Services Over Lamented Physician at the Church - End Came Early Sunday Morning, Closing a Career of Usefulness to the CommunityThe funeral of the late Dr. J. P. Crawford, who died Sunday morning at 1:15 o'clock, will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home, Fifteenth street and Grand avenue, followed by public services at the Calvary Baptist church [1403 Perry] at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. H. O. Rowlands officiating, and interment will take place at Oakdale [Memorial Gardens] cemetery. The services at the home and at the grave will be private.
Dr. Jennings Price Crawford was one of twin brothers born August 27 [22?], 1855 in Linn County [1860 census Marion, no 5 yo twin listed]. His twin brother, Dr. A. J. Crawford, died some years ago. They were the sons of Mr. and Mrs. Jennings Crawford who formerly lived in Pennsulvania and Ohio, but removed to Iowa some time before the birth of the two twin brothers.
There are survivors to mourn the loss of dearly beloved husband and father, the widow and five children as follows: Frances Louise, now studying at Mt. Holyoke, Mass., Genevieve, Helen, Dorothy and Margaret. There are also surviving Dr. Crawford, a brother, Dr. G. E. Crawford of Cedar Rapids, and two half-sisters, Mrs. Lydia Litzenberg and Mrs. Phoebe Coe, both of Minneapolis.
