Bahns
Mrs. Anna Bahns, age 76, died Wednesday at 10 p.m. at the C. C. Cook home after a two months’ illness.
She was born in Schleswig, Holstein, Germany, Nov. 24, 1848, and while still a child came to this country with her parents and immediately to Davenport. Mrs. Bahns was a member of the Scott County Pioneers’ association and a Lutheran by faith.
Surviving are her husband, Herman Bahns, Sr.; a daughter, Mrs. __fair of DeWitt; four sons, Herman, Jr., and Otto of Davenport, Gustave of LeClaire, Ia., William of Denver, Colo.; nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
The body was removed to Runge’s mortuary and will be returned to the C. C. Cook home Sunday at 10 a.m. Friends are welcome at the funeral services to be held there at 2 p.m. Sunday. Interment will be at Fairmount cemetery.
