Witt

George W. Witt, 2019 West Sixth street, died at Mercy hospital Friday afternoon at 3:30 after a five days’ illness of pneumonia.

He was born in Davenport, Nov. 11, 1880, and attended the public schools here, spending his entire life time in this city.

Surviving are the mother, Mrs. Ann Witt, and four sisters, Mrs. J.W. Schoendelen, Mrs. A. Grapengeter, Mrs. E. Meinert, and Miss Olga Witt.

Services will be held at 2:30 Monday afternoon from the home 2019 West Sixth street, where friends are welcome. Services at the grave in City cemetery, however, will be private.

The Witt Funeral

The funeral of George Witt was held Monday afternoon at 2:30 from the home, 2019 W. Sixth street, where Johannes Kroeger spoke. Mr. Kroeger also spoke at the grave in City cemetery.

Pallbearers were Lester Grupengetzer, Milo Meinert, Tom Cogan, Louis Foth, Mert Howell, and Fred Thedemann.
