Mrs. Emma Paulsen died Friday afternoon at 1:30 at the home, 2218 Eastern avenue, following a long illness. She was 58 years old and had resided in Davenport 31 years.

She was born in Preston, Minn., January 20, 1864, and received her education there. On April 29, 1883, she was married to William Paulsen at Preston. She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran church of Preston, Minn., and belonged to the Maccabees.

Surviving are her husband, eight sisters, Mrs. John Kruse of Oakland, Neb., Mrs. Katie Horn of Omaha, Mrs. Levi Kline, Mrs. John Broadwater, Mrs. Ed Kleinienhagen and Miss Sarah Hahn, all of Preston, Minn, Mrs. Laura Link of Lansing, Mich, and Mrs. Lydia McKay of Brainard, Minn., and three brothers, Richard and Joseph Hahn of Preston, Minn and William Hahn of Wykoff, Minn. An only daughter died 20 years ago.

Services will be held at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon from the home, 2218 Eastern avenue and burial will be in Oakdale cemetery.

The Paulsen Funeral

The funeral of Mrs. Emma Paulsen was held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 from the home, 2218 Eastern avenue, Rev. F.R. McLean of the East Davenport Presbyterian church officiated at the home and at the grave in Oakdale cemetery. At the home at quartet from the church sang two hymns.

Pallbearers were Levi Heald Sr., and Levi Heald Jr., Ira Stanley, Ira Robeson, Ed Hinchcliffe, and George Weaver.
