Mulvane

Mrs. Anna Mulvane, 72 years a resident of Davenport, died Friday afternoon at 3:30 at the family home, 115 Garfield street, after a six months’ illness.

She was born in County Tyrone, Ireland, Jan. 13, 1844, and came to Davenport with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Mullen, in 1850.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Florence G. Scannell of Davenport, and two half-brothers, Robert and John Swindell of this city, and ten grandchildren.

Services will be held from the home of the daughter, Mrs. Florence Scannell, 115 East Garfield street, at 8:30 Tuesday morning followed by services at St. Paul the Apostle’s church at 9 o’clock. Burial will be in St. Marguerite’s cemetery.

The Mulvane Funeral

The funeral of Mrs. Anna Mulvane was held from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Florence Scannely, 117 East Garfield street, to St. Paul the Apostle church at 9 o’clock this morning. Rev. C.J. Donohoe celebrated requiem high mass and pronounced the burial absolution. Mrs. S.J. Schmitt sang “Ave Maria” at the offertory of the mass and Miss Edna Doyle sang “Lead Kindly Light” at the conclusion. Rev. Donohoe officiated at the services at the grave in St. Marguerite’s cemetery.

Pallbearers were George Cummings, Thomas Matthews, Gus Alex, Patrick Hines, Charles Hummel, and George Luechtenburg.
